Can anyone tell me how Shepherd's Pie prepares their FABULOUS brussel sprouts? We ate there 6 times when we were on vacation, and I had the sprouts each time. I couldn't get enough of them! I can't wait to go back, but in the mean time, I am having dreams of their sprouts! I never had a sprout in my life until Shepherd's Pie! Everything else on the menu is great too. Didn't have one disappointing meal! I need to find a recipe to make those sprouts!!

It may be the best in the Northeast, but the Pho restaurants in Oklahoma City are hard to beat. OKC has a large Vietnamese population, and the Asian District is full of great Pho spots like Pho Hoa, Pho Cuong, and Mr Pho. (The area even rated a write up in the New York Times</a>. An early opening time is appropriate, as pho is a traditional breakfast food in Vietnam. I'm heading to OKC in a few weeks, and will make a beeline from the airport to my favorite Vietnamese restaurant!

Great place, but they have adopted the new 'we take no reservations' trend, which in a small town with few options is a little frustrating for the pre-concert crowd.

We take the fava beans and throw them on the grill - then remove the pods and shell the individual beans. Alternatively, I steam them first, chill in cold water, and then shell them - easier on the nails.

The clam tacos were lovely-as was the entire meal. Such spelling issues are a sure sign I should not post late at night when exhausted...but wanted it up. What would I ever do without my cadre of sharp women protecting me from spelling/grammatical failings (N.B. chimichurri I had asked about and was given poor feedback).

The clam tacos are food of the gods.

While there may not yet be a website, they do have a facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Rockport-ME/Shepherds-Pie/111775848868718?__a=25&v=wall#!/pages/Rockport-ME/Shepherds-Pie/111775848868718?__a=10&ajaxpipe=1

My html skills are poor, and I don't know how to make fb throw out a cleaner link. Sorry.

Also, Ian, it's Shepherd's, not Shepard's, and chimichurri ends with an 'i', not an 'a'. I'll leave the rest alone, but this is why spell-check =/= proofreading. (Good, lord, I'm turning into both of our mothers).

Great idea for a blog, except after reading through all the posts (so far) I can't help but wonder...where are the books? I found a couple of recommendations on where to eat Philly cheesesteak and gelato, but maybe you could throw in a cookbook or something? Let me start...make your own gelato! Try Mario Batali's new cookbook, MOLTO GUSTO or the classic by David Lebovitz, THE PERFECT SCOOP.
